No, I know there was a thread the other day and they were right. Years back you paid $75 bucks they sent new rod and call tag for return had new rod quick. Now you send in return first cost $20 registered and eventually they may ask for $175.00 and send you a rod. Agent said there’s no time frame for this. Expeditor my _ss !

Go spend $500 on a Megabass or $880 on a Shimano rod and let us know how it works when it breaks outside of the warranty 1 year period.

If you are buying a high end rod to worry about what-ifs when it breaks, you probably need to look at a different brand.

I tell my wife all the time never buy based on warranty, we are self insured. Meaning if something we own breaks we take reasonability and fix it ourselves or buy a new one. Exception is the first 3 year 36,000 on a new vehicle but that comes with the car.

If we are all being honest, if a rod breaks it is usually our fault and it is not the manufactures or the store where you bought it's responsibility to replace them. I slammed a really nice one in my rod locker the other day, I broke it into pieces small enough for the trash can and bought 2 new rods the next day. Part of the reason high end rods cost so much is because a portion of folks keep insisting they are replaced free when they break them. The reason health care cost so much is because a portion of folks keep insisting that they get it free. Personal responsibility is a beautiful thing!

BTW I love the few high end Loomis, megabass rods I have purchased used here on the forum!!

See you on the lake and have a great day!

Our rod warranty at Megabass is posted below. It applies to new rods sold through authorized dealers. Currently $499.99 is the higher end price point wise for rods in regards to domestic offerings. If you buy a Megabass rod used from an individual the warranty does not transfer.
We have a competitive warranty plan and I wanted to post the link to it to avoid any confusion. Every company obviously is different so I cannot speak on other warranty plans and how they may compare.

Been waiting for over a month to for them to respond to an expeditor request. They still have the “technical difficulties” banner on the expeditor site that they said would be fixed in a couple days on two different calls to CS. There is some misleading, and maybe some downright dishonesty going on. Something is definitely up with the company, and it doesn’t appear to be good.

Wasn't aware they have a replacement program, good to know. Also its not a knock on their rods, I've owned a few and if I wasn't all in on GLoomis, Megabass would be my next choice

No worries at all. I didn't take it that you meant any knock. I just noticed when MB was listed that some people are not aware of our rod warranty so I posted tge link just to show some clarity on it. Occasionally we get people buying used rods that do not realize tge the rods do not have a warranty also.

I have but only a few in all the years and multitude of rods I have owned. Two Phenix and one Dobyns. All were replaced with no issues.
Stupidity has cost me several rods, never even thought abut messing with warranty in those cases.

Pretty sure the OP is referring to expeditor…which is a replacement program. Not a warranty program. Loomis in the past has been good with legitimate warranty claims.

Yes It is Expeditor program. I shut rod locker on it my fault 100%. When purchased 10 years ago they said you break no matter how $75.00 and we will rush you new rod and send you call tag for old rod piece. And now good luck ! I told them they should not have bought Loomis if not going to honor commitments.

The Expeditor program was abused by a few resulting in today's changes. One phone call and a credit card number to be charged IF broken rod was not returned by X amounts of days.
Ship broken rod in container new one came in. Not any more because of a few the majority must suffer.
