Choke Canyon only has a few days left of water on the ramp. I have it on good authority there won’t be any alternative ramp created meaning lakes shut down permanently to boats. Been fishing it for 40 years. I normally only keep enough for a few meals but yesterday my buddy and I leaned on them hard. Adios Choke!

Rain would be nice only if it was for a steady 2 weeks of it at major flood levels, but who wants that?
Nobody wants to address the elephant in the room, and even if they did it would be years before the results would benefit anyone.
Thanks to our short sighted politicians who just kick the can down the road for someone else to worry about.

Just one more cast!

Nice haul. Are you saying the lake is shut down permanently as in forever, or just til the lake level rises again?

Just till the ramps are navigable safely.

Correct, and there may be a few more days of water left but nobody knows for sure when TPWD will chain up the ramp.

Been through that on Cedar Creek, more than once.
Log Cabin would be the last usable ramp, during severe droughts. Many predicted the end of everything.

God knows what he's doing.
He will fill it up when it's the right time.

Watch.

"..The pleasantist angling is to see the fish
Cut with her golden oars the silver stream,
And greedily devour the treacherous bait.
