Greenwood Grocery north of Decatur. Only open til 2pm. Sat 4-8 catfish. I’ve heard these are really good burgers 1/2lb patties cooked on the flat top grill. Hand cut fries as a side.

It's been several years since I have ate at Fred's, do they still have that dump on 7th and Currie? The place was a dump but the burgers were amazingly good.

Its my favorite meal for sure. Fuego, Fred's and Tommy's are my go to places.
Have you tried JD’s? Wondering if it’s worth it over Tommy’s? I have not. I hear really good things though. Seems more like an elevated burger kind of like rodeo goat. Tried it today. Not your traditional burger nor worth a special trip, but I'll eat there again. Tommy's is better IMO.

After winning best in fort worth he got greedy and moved to a bad location on McCart. His burgers were bomb, but these are beyond that. I've been a Tommy's loyalist since I moved here in 83 and they were in the Texaco by lake worth, but these may be the best in town. Surprised some of the other local spots didn't join in. There was also one in a gas station on 1187 in Rendon that was good as the one in Fort Worth. My go to Fred's is the one on Bluebonnet Circle. Rick's in Rendon/Mansfield is a dang good burger too.

Fuego burger is an awesome burger even though the management leaves a lot to be desired imo, but it's been a long time since I tried it. I'll give it a try again soon since so many on here like it. The burgers were always awesome. The owner was just unpleasant.
Freds is awesome too. My favorite is the serrano.
Ran across Sweet Sugar High Craft Burger Company this week. It is a small local owned company, owners are awesome, and the burger is 100 percent on par with Fuego and Fred's.
