I can't comprehend the fact that competitive bass fishing brings out the worst traits in mankind, more than any other sport. I don't care if it's in a bass club, high school tourney, local jackpot or on the professional level.

I haven't seen anything like this in our bass club. I remember at 1 tournament a guy thought his fish was still "alive enough" to not get a penalty . He complained for a brief period and accepted his penalty. I couldn't be a member of a club with BPT and BASS level drama. Bass section drama is all I can handle

I don't care if it's in a bass club, high school tourney, local jackpot or on the professional level. Bass fishing isn’t a physical “sport”. It is a mental game. As old people get older, they lose their ability to think. Young people…that’s all they do is think of ways to get around the rules. Throw in the fact that they go mostly unchecked for 8 hours, and it gets worse.
Eat. Sleep. Fish.

If BASS had it in for him they would have really punished him for cutting down the trees and being ticketed by the local agency at another event rather than just giving him a warning. Most cases it would have been a DQ. No one is out to get the guy. He was given a break or two prior to this.

Really can't believe he got away without having to pay the govt for cutting down those trees on public land, the feds usually are rabid to enforce the fines and they are hefty. Would love to know what happened behind the scenes to make that go away. Fine also varies by species and diameter of tree destroyed, if you cut individual limbs off they assign an separate fine for each limb over a certain diameter.

I'm more surprised that they were not DQd. That alone tells ne that BASS does not have it in for him or McKinney because if they did they could have really hurt their careers but instead just chose to give them warnings.

This is the problem with todays society.....why in HELL are anglers parents involved? Your sons are competing (working) for BASS. It's your sons responsibility to handle the situations. Not parents.
This is exactly what has happened to all of our school systems as well. Too many parents that cant let their kids handle themselves and let them out from under the wing. Kids or young men are too damn soft these days.

I've only watched one video with a polygraphist(?) If I took anything away from how he described it and the multitude of ways they tested it for accuracy I'm a pretty firm believer that if you fail you lied
When I am not fishing I am thinking about fishing. And mostly what I should have done differently my last trip! #Brockstarama

I've been involved in all kinds of sports in my lifetime and it doesn't matter how far you go back people are going to find a way to test the limits of the rules that are applied to any sport. I've seen things done where what was done wasn't against the rules but the folks running things created new rules to cover or make illegal what had taken place.

Maybe so, but each elite series angler knows that a polygraph will be the beat all-end all before they pay their entry fees. It's what they sign up for.
