I was born and raised in Orlando. Pre Disney. Went to UCF before I got out. I go back for vacation and the Rolex @ Daytona every year. Would never move back to O Town. Maybe north around Gainesville Ocala area. Horse ranching area.

I lived in south Florida for 25 years.. once fished over 300 days in a year. Its a lot different now, just like it is everywhere else in the country. The more people, the further away from them I want to fish. roflmao Florida City/Homestead area has been my favorite place to stay as it gives you quick access to the best of all types of fishing fresh and saltwater fishing... inshore, offshore, backcountry.

A good rule of angling philosophy is not to interfere with another fisherman's ways of being happy, unless you want to be hated.

Spent a little time in Panama City while in the USN...........been thinking alot about moving back.Great access to freshwater lakes and the SW fishing is second to none. When I bought my current boat,Blue Wave 2200 Classic with a SW series Yamaha 150 and a Minn Kota Riptide TM,Panama City was exactly what I had in mind.Housing cost in this area is more reasonable than any other place I've found in Florida.

What's your favorite fish to chase?

The solution to any problem - work, love, money, whatever - is to go fishing, and the worse the problem, the longer the trip should be. --John Gierach
