Going next month pike fishing at Eagles Nest in New Mexico.
I'm thinking I'll use a 7'3" , MH bass rod and a Revo Toro Rocket (got it for $50 thanks to someone on the TFF calling it out the Abu website on Black Friday several years ago when it was supposed to be 50% off) with 30lb braid.
What are your thoughts?
Will be trolling and not casting.

i recommend a steal leader. Those toothy boogers can flat cut your line.
