Anybody know who is in danger of getting cut at the end of this year? I wish Bassmaster kept those numbers calculated and available to the public. I hate to see anyone get sent to the minors but it’s about to happen for a few.

You would think with both leagues being so interested in cut lines that they would focus on those a little more. I get not wanting to blast guys that arent having the best years but its something most are interested in. I know i wouldnt want to see my name on that list if i was down there but its part of the process if you get there

AOY and other numbersSince there are 2 anglers to date double qualified there are 43 spots open for the Classic. That can change too. Top 70 in AOY points get and automatic invite back. 71 - 101 are in danger of trying to requalify through the opens or use some form of exemption. If I remember correctly Clent Davis took his medical hardship exemption. There are some strong anglers in the top 9 of the EQ list too.

I think Clent Davis retired, wasn't making financial sense anymore just like Hudnell

Wow lots of big names below the 70 cut. Wendlandt, Swindle, Melendez, Crews,Kennedy to name a few. Can’t imagine they all get sent back to the minors.

Then they get to drop their lowest year. Then you have to factor in exemptions. Then any of these rookies below 70 (not sure if there is any) get a second year. I don't know the exact formulas but I'm pretty close. I've always thought it was pretty complicated, which is probably by design.

Of all those with the career average thing I think the only one in jeopardy of being cut is Menendez. Wendlandt has an AOY in 2020 to fall back on as legend expemption, he sure doesn't have much of a BASS average since he spent most of his career with FLW.

Soukups & Bernie are probably gone. Pipkens I had no idea he was that far down there, this would definitely be a drop year, don't know it that help him though.

I was think Soukup for sure which sucks because I think he’s really good. I don’t know about Bernie. He’s been around along time and it would be impossible to figure his averages.

I have no clue how Bernie is still in the league. Lifetime average, for every 3 years you have been on the Elites I think you get to drop a low year, Bernie has been on the Elites since 2006. Sucks because he was having a really good year for the first time in a long time in 2023 and then got an arm injury so had to take a medical, his # may finally be up I know he was on the bubble a few years back to re-qualify.

John Soukup is out (he said it at weigh-in) and Jacobsen said he was on the bubble.
