FFS doesn't bother me at all. Not sure why it bothers some so much. If it makes it so easy to catch fish then everyone would be doing it. David Fritz was a crankbait guru. He was doing things with cranks that others couldn't. Their was 1 guy that put his rod in the water to get his bait to go deeper. Van Damn had the Hydrowave before anyone. Fishing has evolved over time. Fisherman have to. I just wish the haters would stop winning all the time.

I’m just about sick of all of them, the constant drama and whining is past “getting old”.

Yup it’s totally turned me off all the back and forth.

Same here. Both leagues are succeeding in making me want to be a fan less and less because of all the drama over this and everything else.

Well from the social media chatter this morning it might be true and the BFL's may get a complete ban of FFS. As far as what the Toyota series and Tackle warehouse Invitationals ??? guess we will see...

Wonder if they will make boaters remove FFS transducers or have a tamper resistant sticker that prevents said transducer from working if turned on.

I think it would be extremely interesting to see if guys catching them with FFS during that 1 period continue to catch them during the other 2 periods and vice versa.

I have it, use it, like it, but would prefer it not be used in tournament fishing at any level.

I might just watch MLF again just to see if there is any variance in the periods with and without it.

I have no doubt those catching them with FFS would still catch them without it, but i think it will be interesting to see if it is more competitive without it.

People really think garmin or any sonar company is willing to lose money over this? They pull their money, no more majors

When I am not fishing I am thinking about fishing. And mostly what I should have done differently my last trip!

Was it more competitive 3 years ago?

It’s funny as they aren’t really majors any way you slice it- they are fishing in a pickle jar.

I got a question , payouts are same as 10 years ago with entries a lot higher , where has all this money they’ve poured in went too ? Anglers ? Bass ? Mlf ?

Probably operating costs mostly. Cost involved in broadcasting Live fishing, not to mention the general cost to do and manage anything right now higher than 10 years ago. I think the only real risk Garmin has is if state Parks and Wildlife divisions take a FFS ban or partial ban at the pro level as a rea to take a more serious look at it's legality. But I don't see that happening anytime soon....
