The Ray Hubbard Bass Club held our seventh members only tournament of 2024 last Saturday August 10th on Lake Tyler. Typical summer conditions. Warm start. Hit and miss on the wind so hot by the afternoon. The fish seemed to have the summer doldrums as well as there were only three 5 fish limits out of the 20 boats that came out to fish. For most the expected deep bite fizzled so big fish were not the order of the day. When we were all done the team of Chris Atkinson and myself weighed in a limit that went 11.23 pounds for the win. Big bass went to the team of Clark Crenshaw and Chris Lewis with a 4.17. Here are full results and pictures.

Shade was at a premium for weigh in but Tyler Austin and Eugene McBride found what they could

If you caught one be proud of it on this day. Here's Joe Thiebaud with theirs

Here are your winners. Chris and I headed for weigh in thinking we had blown our opportunity but ended up winning with a limit of 11.23

Thanks to my partner Chris for checking live wells, and Eugene and Tyler for running weigh in on a hot day. Thanks to everyone who made the long drive to Tyler. Our next opportunity will be on Saturday September 14th on Cypress Springs Lake. We will go out of Overlook Park and we'll start at 6:45. Two more to go! Come out and join us!

Yes, we talked to the guys doing registration that morning. Guess there were some guys scoping that were hammering on you locals out there. Congrats to those guys. Fast Lane why don't you come on out to Ray Hubbard on Sunday October 27th and face some of the Hubbard guys? The nice part is, no matter if you win or 0, the winner in the whole thing is the American Cancer Society because all proceeds from the tournament are donated to them! It's a great cause so come on out and join us and bring some of your Tyler guys out for a great charity!
