 Hotfoot question

Hey guys, not sure if this is the right place to ask, but here goes. Im asking how hard it would be to remove the hotfoot and put back to hand throttle? My dad will be 80 in 2 weeks, and has Parkinson's and dementia. So Im left to drive us, well unfortunately I broke my ankle really bad last year and had to have it fused. So I lack in foot strength to press the hotfoot, hell I can barely drive the truck. So I need to have the hotfoot taken off and revert back to hand control. Should I take it to a shop, or can it be done at home? Thanks in advance

Look and see if your cable to the hand throttle is still in the boat. It may be, then just disconnect the hotfoot and install the hand cable.

Yes a lot of the time they leave throttle cable in boat we can pull hot and fix you up.

You could just move the pedal over to the left - I have never been able to use my left foot so I put in a top load hotfoot and move it over to the left and just use my left foot instead of the right.
