I wonder if that's a Lonestar? We had one when I was a kid in the 60's and as far as I can remember it looked exactly like that.

My Dad bought a 12-foot, flat-bottomed, V-bow aluminum SportsKraft skiff from Leonard Bros. department store in Fort Worth, in 1959. It got handed around the family for decades, finally ending up with a cousin. I acquired it in 2015, no title, TX numbers or paperwork. I got a TPWD Game Warden to inspect it, they found no numbers, so they gave me an "Assigned Hull Number" and a title. My sister has the boat near Fort Davis. I found that SportsKraft boats were manufactured in Grand Prairie, TX. Oddly enough. after I painted the hull, I found a 4-digit number stamped on top of the gunwale, about six inches aft of the bow. My current aluminum skiff was made in 1959, and the number plate was near the bow. I don't know when the number plates began to be put on the transom? Anyway, it is possible that a buyer would be able to title and register yours. There's a pic of my current skiff in the JonBoats "picture of my Jon" Forum page. Yours could be "repurposed" also. I really didn't want to sell my SportsCraft, being that's one of the three jon boats, I bought, that I wanted to fix up for myself, but already have a kayak, and a pontoon boat on Lake Travis, And honestly that's really all I need ๐
