I'm retiring my two 50 year old bass rods but both need Rebuilding first. This is the red rod.

Still have a couple, handles were changed out 20 years plus. hard to beat considering what’s out there today. Still have a few Skylines tough rods.

Good work Fishinpreacher! Nice video work too... your editing/production is getting better and better.

Im pretty sure I had one that my Grandma gave me when I was about 8 years old. This was about 1982, so the rods were 1950's to 1970's. She gave me her two rods and aluminum tackle box full of old bass lures, and I'm pretty sure her good rod was a Fenwick.

I didn't know what I had and actually used them... lost most of the lures and I have no idea where the box and "old" rods went. I lost sight of the rods because they were pistol grips and I moved onto longer grips as I got older. Wish I had all of that back today so I could study your video and restore them!

Congrats on rebuilding that Fenwick, you are a lucky guy....thumb

My Dad bought a Fenwick back in the early 70's. I was not suppose to touch it, but one afternoon me and a buddy were going to fish a pond. Yes, I snuck Dad's Fenwick out of the house and wound up breaking it in half while walking through a wooded area to the pond.... bang

I was in trouble for a couple of weeks. Dad mailed it to Fenwick and they replaced it, so all was good. I sure wished I had that Fenwick on my wall now.
