I was a Cowboy's fan as a kid before I ever dreamed of living in Texas. Growing up in St. Louis. I rooted for the old St. Louis football Cardinals and Dallas. Oddly enough they were Division rivals but I didn't care. I just loved all the old time players. My dad wore a fedora so every time I see a picture of Tom Laundry it reminds me of my dad.

Today, I take my sons to one away game every season (last two years have been terrible losses but we enjoy the hell out of ourselves). I'm heavily invested in collectible merchandise and in their winning. Ride or die here - I've grown to enjoy the moment and don't get too caught up in all the BS I have no control over.

I laugh at the idea that somehow Jerry doesn't care about winning but only money. The two go hand in hand. I wouldn't want his bills so I don't mind paying to play when I'm in his house.

I'm ready for for another Dallas season!

We had just moved to the metroplex and my dad took me to see the Saints play the Cowboys December 19th 1982. This was ten months after the Clark end zone catch, the Cowboys had lost the season opener, and clearly still very good but in obvious slight decline. This was the first time I had seen fans of any team with paper bags on their head…and they had a winning season…ended up sneaking into the playoffs and won the wildcard…eventually losing to the Redskins in the Conference Championship.

I was blessed to see the greatness of George Rogers that day run wild; plowing over and running past defensive players. Tony Dorsett also had a great game; and the Cowboys won….but the fans were disgruntled and unsatisfied with the direction of the team. This was my first experience with fair weather fans who had enjoyed over a decade of dominance.

They all cheat to some degree. Steroids and PEDs are “banned substances” and every NFL player knows when the testing date is snicker, snicker.

For me it's not about thinking Jerry doesn't care about winning. I'm sure he wants to win. He's just incompetent as a general manager but thinks he's really good at it. More than that, though, he's an arrogant jerk who will do anything or use anyone who gets in his way. The final straw for me was refusing to release Tony Romo after he decided Dak was his quarterback. You want Dak. Great. Play Dak. You get to make that decision.

What you shouldn't do is keep Romo from being able to play somewhere else despite telling him he's not going to get to play for you. Jerry's ego couldn't take a chance on Romo going to Houston or Denver and winning more than in Dallas. The man broke his body for Jerry. He broke his back twice and led a win over the 49ers with a rib puncturing his lung, but that loyalty wasn't repaid by Jerry. Jerry's ego wouldn't allow it, so he forced him into retirement. That's just one more example of Jerry Jones' true character.

I hope the man loses every game the rest of his life. I'll reconsider once that jerk off is gone.
