May be the wrong section. Ran my oil a little low a couple of weeks ago and got a low oil alarm. Got off the lake immediately, took it home, and filled up the main tank the next day. Took it to the lake last Saturday, took of the cowling, bled out the aux tank til it overflowed, and still getting an oil alarm? Sensor maybe?

I have the same engine, just happened to me. Had to replace the reserve oil tank, think it's a part inside of the tank (something magnetic maybe) that goes bad. Apparently pretty common, happened to my buddy's as well, 2018 merc. They have the tanks on boats.net. sku#884525T1

Its this, I had to fix it on mine this past winter, after that magnet goes out you might as well just replace the whole tank. You can actually disconnect the wire to the sensor as well to shut it up but thats not really an alarm you don't want working it the reserve tank actually does go low.

Oil tank on the motor. DO NOT GET A CHINESE KNOCKOFF, ONLY GET OEM MERCURY

Learned my lesson on this. Put an aftermarket tank on it and had the same issue. Boat went to the shop, they installed an OEM tank, no more problems. It does matter

Just to clarify for someone that might want to do this, you unplug the connector and install a jumper in the plug on the harness (not the tank connectors).
