I was waiting for this one. I'm just making a point. Not all the crime in DFW is centered in Arlington, but you'd never know that by reading the OT threads. Understand completely. You need to keep your head on a swivel and beware of your surroundings regardless of where you are.

When I moved here in 83 the population was 350k. It's now 950k. The whole metroplex did the same thing.

When I moved here in 83 the population was 350k. It's now 950k. The whole metroplex did the same thing. Get out while you can. I’m much happier in Anna.

There is always a shooting in fw it is nothing new. Our station is in the 820/35 area going as far as Northside down around BillyBob's and the Stockyards then up to around the Golden Triangle area of 35. Pretty populated real estate so we stay busy. It seems its becoming way more common. I have a son in law married to my middle daughter that is a police officer with FWPD and my youngest daughter is a police dispatcher for FWPD so between the 3 of us we get to hear/see a lot of it these days. When she first started one of the things that surprised her was how little of it makes the news....

Did the officer have back-up? Serving felony warrants is a risky deal, especially on someone with multiple. I think you need to call the cavalry and be ready for a fight on all of them.
