I've never thrown this color. Is it a certain time of year color, water clarity, or what? TIA

I've thrown fire tiger in dingy water conditions. I don't think time of year makes much of a difference just adjust which one you throw based on the water depth you are fishing.

Used to be Fall for the season. Not sure what today's consensus is. I'd still say Fall as that's about the only time I throw that color.

I throw them mostly in the Spring. I figure they look sort of like a Bluegill, the main forage early in the year before all the shad show up.

If you like fire tiger then try fire, fire tiger - the black stripes are red instead. Old Honey Hole special color that they would give away at boat shows.

In gin clear and murky water it’s my jam in September, interestingly haven’t had much any luck with it in normal stained water.
