Good old Vermillion!
I've caught many many fish off that lake. Spent Summer's with my Grandparents and would fish Vermillion with crawler harnesses for perch and walleye. Best daggum eating fish around.

Is it too late to go this year? Or has the best fishing over until next year. My wife wants to fish, but she can’t take the heat anymore and Vermillion sounds great

I don't seem to be able to drive past Mille Lacs...been 4 times there and I know I'll be back. Big smallmouth paradise Depends on time of year. If it’s June then Mille Lacs is nuts for big fish and numbers. July and August gets tougher by the day. Vermilion smallies are not as large on average. Lots of 2 and 3 lbers up to 6lbs. But the numbers are a lot bigger.
