I have owned 3 sets of Easy Step systems. One on a bay boat, bass boat and a fish and ski boat. The last set I bought was 2014 on a bay boat. All three sets were some what unsteady when using them.
I am 80 yrs old now and have a hard time walking and chewing gum at the same time. I sold my bay boat because it was to much for me to handle and I am getting a Lowe Stinger 175 and I am looking to
put steps on it. My question which of the pre fab steps do you find is the most secure when climbing up them. The Easy Step system seem to have been redesigned since I bought the last set in 2014.
Any recommendation for the most solid steps to keep a old man fishing in a boat.

You’d be better off having a local retired welder make your steps. My co-angler made mine. [Linked Image]

I agree with Tin Star Cajun. I would take the boat to a welding shop, and have them make it exactly how you would like them to be built. I saw a post on fb of a guy ( not in Texas ) who was doing boat trailer steps and was even adding side rails to the steps if the customer wanted.
