Been waiting on some work milestones to buy a boat and that moment has arrived.

We're headed to bridgeport this weekend. According to TPWD, bite is decent. We will be up for anything but would LOVE to get into some whites or hybrids

Any tips or recent reports?

The islands at the south end of the lake are usually the spot for evening surfacing fish. The flats from the island extend all the way north out to middle portion of the lake. Thats probably the best bet.

There is a road bed connecting the two southern islands that holds fish early and late. Stripling Island has fish moving most days and all day from the northern tip , north in about 45-48 FOW. Drifting with the wind is most productive . Bait is small requiring down sizing. A one ounce sinker above two " crappie jigs " or mister twister curly tail jigs will work. Don't get over 1.5. to 2 inches in length per jig. Thumping and or splashing help once fish are located.

Appreciate y'all

First time going out together in over 10 years, and the tips might put a few in the boat!
