I had some I bought in 2018 and they had been good until a several trips down the hot highway last September, one started to have a belt slip and get oblong. Replaced them with new Endurance, tire guy said after 6-7 years you need to replace trailer tires regardless of mileage, hopefully these will last longer than 5.5 years but they still lasted a lot longer than the china bombs I had on there trailer previously. If you have a single axel trailer that shortens the life too.

Best thing to do is go to Rivera's tire shop in Emory Tx. They have tires designed for trailers that go way above and beyond for what you need for your boat and they are WAY CHEAPER THAN DISCOUNT TIRE. They are great to deal with and very quick installing your new tires. Then you can go fish lake Fork the rest of the day, or go by Lake Fork Tackle and check out their new baits.
Get rid of those Goodyear tires, for sure. I learned how bad they were way back when I was in high school in the 70-s and they haven't gotten any better since then.

Had Marathons for years going to Amistad in summer time quite regularly and I listened to Good Year and kept air PSI above what was on the tire. I think it called for 50 and I ran 60 and never had a failure. Low pressure will cause heat and failure

The number one rule to not blowing out trailer tires is to ALWAYS have them at max PSI before towing. I haven’t had a trailer tire blow out since I’ve done that, and I run nothing but what others may call “China bombs”.
Matter in fact, I just towed my buddy’s boat a few weeks ago 700 miles round trip on a trip we made. He had two tires on there from 2016 and 2014. I told him just put them at max PSI and hope for the best. Not a single issue

from 2000 to 2017 i used marathons, I think one trailer did not have marathons. I have had 3 blowout that I remember. Not that bad. I always maintained over 50psi in those tires, My targeted psi was 55. One of those was a crack in the road that shredded my tire.
I have never kept my boats very long... 3 years max. So I was not aging out my tires.
i switched to car tires in 17 because they were cheaper, have yet to have an issue with my trailer.

I’d recommend 8 to 10 ply trailer tires. As mentioned Rivera’s tires in Emory is a good place to shop. Although the place across the street by the sale barn is hard to beat. - E-Tex Tire and Wheel. Discount Tire will have you covered as well.

The designation D and C are load range. This is your ply rating. The Endurance is an 8 ply tire. The Marathon is a 6 ply tire. That is why the Endurance is performing better. If you know your boat and trailer weight we can check your load capacity for the tires. I need help replacing my tires on my piece of [censored] Kenda’s on my ranger. Major trash. They are 17 inch so I’m having problems finding a good replacement

Kinda pricey.

Have close to 10k miles on them and still look like new.

Just go to a tire place that services a lot of trailers. The guy I use always has trailers (all sorts, lawn service, box trailers) in for service and new tires... I've use Trailer King on my last two boat trailers. They're economical and they last... Dan

Many bad experiences w/Marathons. Several years on Endurance and so far so good. I really like their 65psi cold air pressure. I believe this goes a long way to avoid heat build up and eventual tire failure.

I believe this goes a long way to avoid heat build up and eventual tire failure. If you put 65psi COLD pressure, they will probably heat up to 70psi down the road. I put 60psi cold in my Endurance tires and expect them to heat up to 65. IMHO

Expecting them to heat up and get to 65 means you’re running them on low pressure.
