I had a complete shoulder rebuild ( commonly called a reverse) in April.

Would be curious to to hear how long it took to get back in your kayak and fishing. I ask because they have told me
I'll need months more rehab before its OK to start fishing again. Way too long!!!

Follow the surgeons instructions as when you can start doing things. Double question everything they tell you, especially if it is one of their nurses. This comes from experience not personal opinion. I had the nurse give me the wrong rehab paper work and I ended up tearing my shoulder after my second surgery (first one was just a cleanup). The next surgery for me is a total shoulder replacement as there is nothing left to fix after the total rebuild was done.
I can still fish, but can no longer shoot a bow and arrow as the release of the string causes extreme pain from the recoil of the bow.
DON'T rush it or you may be sorry. I had to learn to cast left handed and that helps out.
Good luck.

I tore my left bicep and shoulder muscle in 2017. It wasn't till just last August I felt good enough to paddle any distance. Good luck on your recovery.
