Just saw Twisters. If you never saw Twister you would say what a great movie. If you saw Twister you would say Twisters just another dull copy of the original.

It’s not the greatest movie of all time but we enjoyed seeing it.

It was fine. I didn't love it, but it wasn't awful. 3 out of 5 stars.
I do agree that it would have been a better movie if you didn't know about the original.

Original was better but this version was not bad. If you can tough it out through the initial 30-40 minutes it gets better. Great soundtrack and it would have been tough to beat the soundtrack from the 1st Twister.

Would you put it in the "B movie" category?

This is one of those times I think a remake of the original would have been better than trying to recreate the magic. But with that said, the original wasn't really good enough to warrant a remake OR a sequel yet either. It was fun don't get me wrong... and that one burnette in that film was smokin hot but this should have all waited another couple decades IMO. ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2024/07/full-39164-234693-capturedafedwqeg.png)

The original is my #1 favorite movie of all time. But I have to say I enjoyed it very much. Would I watch it 100 times, no. But I will for sure purchase it.

Someone on the radio said this was the first movie with an all country music soundtrack since Urban Cowboy.

Someone on the radio said this was the first movie with an all country music soundtrack since Urban Cowboy. Urban Cowboy was pretty good and Gilley's was the place ! Travolta was out of place/miscasted IMO but it was the age of dimestore cowboys. Buddy that I went to HS with got in on a crowd shot in the movie !

Only cowboy Travolta should portray is from the Village People.

Someone on the radio said this was the first movie with an all country music soundtrack since Urban Cowboy. I wouldn’t consider Boz Scaggs country.
