With Lake Travis so low, does anyone know of a public place to launch? I know it will most likely be a shoreline launch, but that is fine.

Thanks,
Jimmy

There is a concrete ramp open on "Tournament Point" at Pace Bend Park. It has been good to go for awhile now. You can launch from the bank next to this ramp as well. Lake is up 2+ feet since yesterday and another 4-5 tomorrow, so should be no problem there. This is only public launch I am aware of. Will probably be a good bit of debris floating around so be very careful.

Thanks for the info. And good thought about the debris.

I am in Leander and was hoping to find something on this side of the lake. I just checked, it is an hour and 6 mins going around the lake. That is the same amount of time to get to Lake LBJ. Just the terrible part with the trip to Pace Bend is getting on 620. Guess I just have to wait for some more rain. When the ramps are open on this side, I am 15 mins from the lake.

yeah getting across lake travis is not fun. there's really no public ramps open on the north side. when it's full Arkansas Bend has a boat ramp. closest would be the dam, but i doubt that's open yet until all this flooding water fills her up 10~ ft. I agree with the comment about debris. it's going to be a very stained lake with lots of debris for a week or two

Skeeter, Travis caught nearly 6 feet of water with this runoff from LBJ. I've got a pass to the ramps in Lago, so if ya want to get out there give me a shout. I'm in Jonestown. You too wtf242. Some of the ramps may be close to reopening. Probably Mansfield is next in line as it's one of the deeper ones. But that will be a cluster f!!

We're at about 640 right now. Mansfield is good at 637 so it should be open if not now, then soon. Jonestown #3 ramp is good at 645 so we'll need another 6 feet or so before it's usable. May get it this weekend!!
