None of the comservation tags last. The plastic breaks. I use the old type piercing clip style, but that’s a personal choice. The plastic ones cost me a first place and new boat.

We use the metal clips as well. I stuck floats on ours so we can find the fish in the livewell. Some places we fish the water looks like coffee with creamer

I have both but usually use the piercing clips most of the time. I replace the cheap floats with old crankbaits when the float wears out.

I have used probably 10 versions in the last 10 years and the ones Gary came out with last year are the best I have used. I have never had a fish shake one off. Granted, I suck at fishing so I don't tend to put many in the livewell, but the ones I did stayed connected. https://dobynsrods.com/product/cull-buoys/

my ardent balls broke... no more blue balls. Best I have heard is the Dobyns cull tags are the best by far. No lost fish to chase around the livewell, no breaking balls. About to buy a set myself.

I like the Cal Coast non puncture tags. Only place I have had a fish get off is at fork. It was an under dink that you would never have to deal with at a regular lake. Had them for over 4 years now. Haven't had one break yet. That seems like a pretty good lifespan to me. I never expected them to last forever.

Ardent Smart Cull. I just bought a 6 pack of clips and put them on the tags I already had. Easy to use and haven't broke one yet. Maybe I haven't fished enough lately!

I’ve been using CAL coast tags for several years with no issues.
I have only had a couple unders on Ivie and Henry come off, but don’t think I’ve ever had a 14” fish come off in the livewell.
