Just my ignorance on docks. How do you pull a floating dock to flood level before the water gets there? I thought the water came up, they floated up and then you reeled them in to shore. I have been on buck for 9 years but have not put in a dock yet. I am thinking about stationary as mone really has no where to go but up and down.
Most have wheels on them. I think they are called roll in docks. Similar to whats at the Llano cnty park. They used a winch
That's just for jet ski dock, But similar design for boat dock , My mom and dad used to rent a cottage on Lake Travis, And it also had a boat dock also, 20 foot walkway, was on wheels But was also easily unattachable, from the u-shape.boat slips. It was a walkway with a U shape deck/slips you can put one boat in the middle, one boat, on each other side, It had four 20-ft poles, on each corner of the main deck of a u shaped deck With four winches, One for each pole, with The cable, Attach to the bottom of poles, So you can raise it up and down as needed 👍
Hard to imagine with the Guadalupe and LLano Rivers flooding like they were that Canyon and Travis didn't rise more. Did TEQC make them open the gates? No rise at all at Choke Canyon or Lake Corpus Christi. Business as usual. IslandJim
