The point being that a technique that allowed one to hover a fly just above the surface would likely drive bass mad as well and get them to leaping for it. The big thing is, how the heck does one do that?
Didn't Brad Pitt invent that technique while growing up the son of a preacher in Montana... Oh wait that was a movie, my bad.

I have a 12' spey rod that I have been evaluating. I may give it a whirl as a dapping rod.
