Like the title says, It has been 7 months since I had my boat out and really did some hard fishing. I did go with Frank and Gene once but a storm ran us off the lake.

So I took Friday off and called Frank and said " I'm coming to stay a couple days and we are going to FISH". He said "COME ON DOWN".
So i got out there about 3 pm and we were on the water at 4:10 pm. We found some good fish and landed over 100 sandbass and 14 hybrid. .

As Frank and I were each reeling in a hybrid each three game wardens rolled up on us and did the whole check up.
I had everything in order as far as safety etc. Then we sat and talked to them for about 20 mins. Great guys.

Towards the end of the day about 7pm we headed over o holiday and came up on ACRES of schooling fish. We caught fish until 8:45 pm.
Giant shad flying out of the water and fish popping the surface all around us. It was perfect.
Then we headed in and tied the boat up to Franks Dock and went in and ate giant hamburgers.

Next morning we went out and it was slower in the mornings everywhere.
But we found thousands of fish at GPS and we caught over 75 there in about an hour. They were absolutely killing it.

Went back to franks to eat lunch and headed back out to find more. We finally got a good bunch to bite and snagged another 50 + sand bass and a couple more hybrid.
Friday was the better day but we caught a lot of fish both days.

The Bo-Blade was the ticket and the Cyclops for the bigger fish. Mark makes some great lures

It was a much needed fishing trip for me and I had a blast. Thanks Frank for having me out.

Fish were schooling at Cloud on our way in at 8pm but they were all sandies.

Nice couple days!

For those wondering where I've been:
I am doing great health wise.
Work has been crazy so that takes up a lot of time.
I have my 89 year old mom living with me and I am having to do alot more for her these days
because her knees are really giving her problems. I don't want her to lose her balance and fall because at her age a fall would be devastating.
So I spend most of the weekend running errands for her and doing things she can't do anymore.
She is still sharp and other than her knees she is in good shape. So I am trying to keep her that way.

I am going to make it a point to get out and fish more in the upcoming months. Especially when it cools down.

Thanks for all that were concerned about me. Hopefully see you on the water soon
