I've been chasing this photo for a good while. Several times, I drove somewhere and got set up only to be defeated by clouds at the last minute. Once I missed the shot because they moved the ISS a few hours before and I didn't have updated time and location information. But this time I had clear skies and a bright full moon, and I found a spot on a dirt road east of Waxahachie that was on the transit center line.
The ISS is about the size of a football field, and it is 560 miles away in this sequence. The entire transit lasted 1.2 seconds. It was dumb luck that the frames were timed with one showing the ISS right in the center of the moon.
