That has nothing to do with his question

Look at all the trolls that come out of the woodwork, good for you all.

Any of you have opinions on Fluoro for drop shotting to help the OP?

I use regular castable fluorocarbon as a leader with braid, The made-for-leader fluorocarbon lines I have tried are too stiff to create a good Palomar knot for the hook.

Never a issue with braid to flouro leader. powerpro v2 15lb braid - FG knot - 8 to 10 lb Seaguar Invizx. Have yet to break off a single time other than on snags. I can often go weeks without having to put a leader on. You either tied a bad knot or something. I have fished this way for about 10 years and never had a single issue.

powerpro v2 15lb braid
8 to 10 lb Seaguar Invizx
Gamakatsu Drop/Split Shot Hook
Eagle Claw Round Drop Shot Weights

I did a test on a clear water lake using 30# braid for my drop shot set up (no leader) and got just as many bites with it as I do using straight fluorocarbon line. I was surprised, it made no difference at all to the fish.

Hmmm. In good conditions or tough conditions?

I guess the bass were feeling good that day and just wanted to eat what they saw. I don't know,,,,I did not ask them.

Tip*

Buy the high vis yellow. Order a pack of Sharpies in Slate Grey. Not regular grey, Slate grey.

Then color the braid from terminal, back up about 5-10 feet.

Keep the Sharpie in the tackle box. Color up as you cut line.

I've been using Invizx for over 20 years and have had very few breakoffs. None from bad line. I caught a 9.16 on 8lb test in April and was never worried about breaking off.

I did this until I discovered 832 Camo. 20# is 6 # diameter. I don't break off.

Less gritchin', more fishin'
