I am looking for a used or rebuilt lower unit for a 05 Skeeter ZX225 Yamaha hdpi vmax. If I could find someone to help and rebuild this one I would entertain that as well. I’m having troubles finding anyone that will touch it. New or remanufactured if just over $4000 and I don’t have that to spend right now. Thanks for any help

You can put a OX66 lower unit from SEI on it. I ran one for a couple years on my HPDI.

Good Luck. Catfish Dave on YT had to resort to buying a new Yamaha because he said could not find a lower unit for his. The wait time was like 6 months for a new one.

Does that motor use the same lower unit as a 2000, 200 hp HPDI ? If so , I know where one is . $2000.00

I appreciate the feed back. I thought I had found one through a “boat motor” fb page. Researched the seller before ordering but still think I’m being scammed. Luckily I payed through PayPal. Once this is straightened out next step is to contact Hughes and others mentioned here. Thanks again
