I have fished POC for years, but have never known where folks are talking about when they say "deep shell". I am assuming that is in ESB, but do not know where.
Without giving me your secret spots, can anyone tell me approximately where in the bay that is? btw.. was down there past weekend and loaded up on reds at Dewberry.

I fished POC for 15 years, but have focused south of there in recent years. Although some of the names have changed, I have never heard of a specific spot called deep shell. I think that might refer to bottom structure. Could be wrong. If so there are some shell reefs out from the mouth of Pringle Lake in about 8 feet of water and most of the old wells in W. Matagorda have shell pads next to them.

Big Shell isn't a specific spot.

Just a generic term.

Some call it Scattered Shell on other forums.
