Made from an old gas grill frame. Cut out the rust, a little spray paint. Some treated 2xs from the wood pile. Good to go. [Linked Image]

I don't think it's safe to cut food on those treated boards. I wouldn't.

I like the design, well thought out.

I know it's not my place...but I echo the food safety. You should sand, seal, the wood with a food grade based stain. Or cover the top with a thin sheet of SS.

Here's one I built for a friend. [Linked Image]
The top is all hardwood and finished with cutting board oil. This thing I just threw together was for a utility table utilizing something I was going to take to the dump. I won't be using the wood to cut meat on. I have cutting boards for that. But yeah, it does look a little dirty lol. That's because it is. I still need to sand it and wash it down.

Looks great. Just wood glue some nice, big wood cutting boards from Walmart on top and you are good to go….or a big ole slab of butcher block from Home Depot.

Treat the cutting boards by rubbing in some Canola oil and then every three months or so.

If you look hard enough. Amazon has the plain white cutting boards. And as huge and thick as you want.

In the kitchen, I have one that's a half inch thick. Big enough to use but still fits in the dishwasher. My fish cutting/ leather or whatever is 3/4" thick. Big chunk of plastic.

$12 is the average price. 15" x 20".

18" x 30" is a gigantic cutting board. Winco is their name.

Using my portable fish cleaning table to fry some chicken strips tonight. After a few suggestions, I ordered and received a 30x18 cutting board. Don’t think I’ll hard mount it though. We’ll see. [Linked Image]
