Lake elevation 618.91
Temps 80-85

My crew running late so had little time to post

The fish have seem to finally settle into their Deepwater pattern. Normally this generally happens around Father’s Day but it has been just as much surface fishing as it has fishing down below. Lately the trips can be made in a couple of 10 minute windows the rest is just searching and looking and trying to locate the next school of fish. Lots of crowding and boat pressure which is the normal behavior in the summer doesn’t mean I have to like it :-) We have found em all over the lake. Some days up the Washita Alberta run and between the Bridges seems to be the best Somedays striper alley down by the dam Somedays table top Somedays oil well over the TI you just never know you’ve gotta search search and search. Use lots of fuel in the summer in reel em up fast…burn it in!

If I ever needed a guide Chris would be top of the list. I’ve read his posts for years and now that I’ve fished the lake regularly I can attest to them being spot on. I fished the moon for five days and recently got back after another 5 days. The fish are SO scattered you are lucky to run across a school in 25-45ft. I think most fish are scattered in 60+ ft. I burned 140 gallons of fuel over that time looking for them. Come on fall pattern!

That’s what great guides do, whatever it takes to put their clients on fish and Chris does it every trip. Great table shots buddy👍👍

When I lived near Texoma, I loved ripping slabs for the big ones when it was so hot it was hard to stay out. You can’t just find schools of the big ones, you have to find FEEDING schools of the big ones. If you aren’t on the water nearly every day, you better hire somebody that is.

what fishfinder do you have Chris? I have a GT56 ducer and 106sv. I plan to go to a Humminbird as they seem to have better side imaging

I love the solix humminbird but all year I’ve been running my 20 foot falcon with a Garmin on it and nothing wrong with it :-)
They acted real weird today at 8 o’clock I barely had anything at 9:40 I was headed in to clean
