My really old dremel 400 xpr is starting to run hot with a little burn smell, vents not blocked, inside blown clean, minimal load. Will worn brushes cause this?

Don't think I've ever seen one fail. They're usually pretty darn reliable. Mine is around 20 yo and gets used several times a month.

Don't want to invest almost 20 bucks when it won't help. Just get a new one.
