Thanks Ken, that’s a deal! While looking on Amazon I noticed a kit with multiple sizes of of bobber stops, I had no idea. ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2024/07/full-121935-232022-img_0759.png) Now instead of using 2 to hold a 1 1/2 oz punch weight, you can just use one bigger one

I’ve never considered this- can’t imagine its even an issue. Me. neither. What would make the "best" bobber stopper?

I have tried the ones from Amazon. Maybe I got the wrong ones but they didn't hold very well. 6th sense have always worked well for me.

The problem with the Amazon bundle is only a portion do what they are supposed to do and that's keep the weight pegged. Most of them I threw away. 6th sense is very good, but my favorite are the mustad. Just my humble opinion.

Any of this style will work good. FYI you can buy them on Amazon. 1200 stoppers for like $13. And they have different sizes for different line size.

Why would you put a ball of rubber at the nose of your weight?
- The weight is your telegraph that a fish is there.
- A rubber ball grabs every piece of trash.
- Every limb.
- Every rock.
- Every piece of grass.
- All of that is what a bite feels like on a pegged weight.
USE peggets from Academy. They are not sold online. All my weights are pegged.
- It has a line slit in the round flat head to center up the knot and protects your knot.
- Stretch the pegget a tiny bit and snip it off at the nose of the weight.
- It goes inside and grabs nothing.

I agree with Donald. Pegging works best.
The only thing I DONT like about a peggit is when changing weights, the peggit is stuck flush in the weight. I have a 1/64th drill bit I have to use to drill out the rubber before the weight can be reused.

I agree with Donald. Pegging works best.

This makes it easy to slide your knife blade under it and pull it right out.

Amazon. You can buy a zillion of them for about 10 bucks, you’ll never have to pay for them again.
Amazon also has the best prices on fishing line, Japanese Sunline Shooter, the strongest line with best performance I’ve ever used, you can buy it on Amazon and it is cheaper than seaguar red label at Walmart …
