If You Travel on Planes! Trains! Automobiles!

These are "parabolic" surf rods. What does that mean? The stress of rod load is shared throughout the whole rod from rod tip to the upper base of the handle. This allows the usage of the rod's "backbone" where the true untapped power of the rod resides. So more of the rod absorbs the stress of a hook-up rather then the typical upper third.

This results in less rod breakages over time and the angler will suffer less muscle fatigue as the whole rod from the top of the rod butt to the tip is evenly bearing the entire stress of the strike & fight. Also if you don't own a pick-up or a SUV you'll find the travel tube is more "travel friendly". Especially if you're heading South for Roosterfish or to battle GT's in Hawaii.

If you do take it on a plane check first with your airlines & TSA for current regulations. For myself i prefer packing it in my luggage.
