Way back when, we used to camp on the Corona river and fish Guerrero. Those were some of the best times in my 68 years of living. waking up to parrots flying down the river, squawking and fussing. The campfires at night, with steaks cooking over a mesquite fire. Sipping whiskey and watching the stars and listening to the coyotes howling. All this not to mention that we were catching 200+ fish every day.

I'd give anything to sit around a campfire at yellowstone with my mom, dad, and brother just one more time.

There was camping when I was a kid in Colorado with my cousins, Aunts and uncles and Deer camp when I was an adult. Deer camp was with a couple older guys that have passed on. Both good times but very different experiences.

Spent two years homeless and a kept a journal.
Out of my control, homeless. Worked my way out cleaning toilets.
I slept in the cedar trees. Hammock. Bug spray I'd steal. A VA concealer remarked I was the cleanest homeless person she's seen. If I signed up for therapy pool. A nice hot shower was required.
Well, No $hit. It's field craft.
I love a hammock tied between two trees.
There's a feral world. Where people ain't coming back. You can get lost outside the money World.
This civilization is for the birds.... A hammock and a couple of trees is the only thing I need. There's plenty of places I can go where people believe in me... This ash tray and this paddle game, the remote control and this lamp And thats all I need, I don’t need anything else Don’t forget the dog named [censored]. Lol
Eat. Sleep. Fish.

some camping memories.... as a kid growing up in east Tenn. back in the late 40's early 50's..sleeping in pup tent in winter in those army surplus wool sleeping bags, building fires and placing big flat rocks behind campfire to reflect heat back into the tent...eating pork and beans and drinking Pepsi-Cola......
camping on the Miss river with my two sons during duck season and one night the river rose so much it drowned out the campfire and was lapping at edge of tent when we woke up,had to move tent and build another fire before we could cook breakfast.... another time my oldest son probably about 10 years old letting our wet lab get in sleeping bag with him and caught pneumonia....very unhappy mother over that....
late 70's camping on river at Chicos on Lake Guerrero and also catching 200 bass a day...

We always went camping and squirrel hunting right after deer season, ie early January in north Georgia and there were a few times it was very cold, like single digits or teens. I wouldn’t be able to do it now

Ok. We used to “camp” at lake Lavon every day when I was really little. My mom and dad lived in a tiny camper they pulled behind their corvette. We were white trash. We’d dig donuts out of the dumpster to eat.
My family has come a long ways. Her barn at the Colorado house is worth more than some people earn in a lifetime. Haha. I vowed NEVER to camp out again. Ever.
My wife tried that [censored] once at Joe Pool with us. She was really mad when I said I’m going home to sleep, I’ll see yall in the morning. That was prior to the divorce. Haha.
Eat. Sleep. Fish.

I camped at Texoma a lot when kids were young. My daughter and I went up Thursday evening once. We had a little shower Friday morning. Woke up to a tarantula taking cover under our rain fly. Explained to my daughter that they are good spiders and really harmless. Ex's cousin showed up the next day. They saw 1 and killed it. I almost told them to go home. I might have gotten divorced 15 years earlier if I had.

Way too many... Had 4 brothers and 3 sister... Dad loved to tent camp, in one big tent... When we showed up the noise decibels went up and any available tree limbs would immediately be snatched up for our fire... Dan

I love to camp out in the spring, summer and fall. Way to hot for me to do it in the summer. I'm referring to camping out in Texas.
