I didn’t take these, someone on FB posted them, it’s almost amazing, baffling and a bit pathetic. Figured you guys who fished there, back when it had water would like seeing how the lake looks.

Only ramp open and notice the mud line, we won’t be using it much longer.

How low is it?

30ft. Made me nervous navigating it last weekend, caught plenty of fish but nothing over 3lbs.

Wow and So Sad is all I can say after fishing that lake since it opened

Reservoir capacity and water levels in my area of West Texas as of July 1st:

- Nasworthy - 91.6% 0.5 feet low
- Champion Creek - 55.7% 14.9 feet low
- Colorado City - 44.5% 14.0 feet low
- Brady Creek - 42.6% 11.2 feet low
- Red Bluff - 39.4% 15.7 feet low
- Oak Creek - 31.4% 16.8 feet low
- O. H. Ivie - 28.6% 30.0 feet low
- E. V. Spence - 14.4% 48.9 feet low
- Twin Buttes - 11.6% 35.9 feet low
- O. C. Fisher - 1.6% 52.2 feet low

You all better start your rain dance and not stop

They’ve all been lower and still fishable. Not the first time and definitely not the last , just part of life out here.

Not to mention Hubbard - Falcon and Amistad.

I haven't been in years. I think it was about 8ft low the last time I went. Used to be a great fishery. Maybe someday, they will build that water pipeline from ETX to Central so as to spread all that rain water around. I doubt it though!

Definitely one of the cons of living out here. This is why I’m excited to relocate to Tyler where the lakes have water and you don’t have to worry about “how long the boat ramp has until it is unusable”.

I know it sucks now but whenever it fills back up it will be awesome again.
