Has anyone been out on Sheldon this month? I was wondering how congested the vegetation is.

All BS aside, it’s about 50/50 on open water vs pads/grass, it’s setting up real good for frogging and punching.

My BIL and I went to Sheldon this morning. The lake is heavily vegetated with hydrilla, coontail (?), and lily pads. We always start early with poppers and frogs. My BIL caught a nice 4-pounder right away. We followed this up with nine other blowups but couldn't stick any of them in the boat. As long as a few people fish this lake every week to keep the main lanes open, we will give Sheldon another shot soon.
