Zane (Johnboat) fished yesterday & beat all my sunfish spots to death( ), so thought I might try spending some time looking for those elusive summertime bass. Got to the lake at sunrise & headed for my favorite bass spot b4 daybreak & couldn't believe it...A guide and his clients beat me there. Guess I will have to start getting up at 2 am instead of 3 am. Anyway, it was a real slow morning, but did manage 3 out in the middle of the lake around 10 am. Right before I left I got another 3 by the rocks ending up with 6 bass. The biggest went 5 lbs. 8 oz. & all the others were 2-3 lbs. As far as sunfish goes, I did spend maybe 2 hours fishing for those guys & ended up with 42 sunnies & 1 Rio. All the bass were caught on a Tsunami swimbait & the big one was about 20 feet deep. All the sunfish were caught on Gulp Alive minnows in various colors. On a side note the road construction is getting ridiculous. On the way home today I had to stop & fallow the lead car on 3 separate occasions. Oh well... the good news is that going to the lake I beat all the construction guys & don't have to stop at all...

I suppose that was Rick Denton in your spot. We had to work really hard for them sunnies yesterday. They weren't as active as the Friday before.
PS- That bass don't look like he's 5 lbs. 8 oz.

Zane...Yes, it was RD on that spot, but it wasn't the area you fished with him out from the discharge...I know...that bass looked to be well over 6, but it was all head & no body... & I have a scale that actually works...
