Robert and I got a late start this morning but that didn't keep the little guys from attacking those gulp alive minnows. The lake was calm with temperature in the low 90's and we had an occasional cloud to knock off the beating sun. The construction getting to the lake was horrible, but it was nice being on the water. Today, charthouse and emerald shiner were the choice baits using the drop shot method. We met a nice couple while fishing the community hole and shared some fish stories. Note: Steve, I didn't brag about that 2 pounder LOL.
Anyway, we ended the day with 101 fish which were all released to catch another day.

New to the forum and just wanted to say you guys are amazing. Those are some monsters you’re catching. I’ve fished mostly salt water but since moving back to Waxahachie it’s time to get into fresh water. Crappie and bluegill are some of my favorite fish to both catch and eat. Got to say it again, those are some amazing fish.
