Humminbird Helix Sonar Manuals fresh from the printer!!
I have received Sonar class requests as far away as Kentucky and have had students drive in from Louisiana and Oklahoma. The response has been overwhelming to my classes and I have really enjoyed seeing anglers excitement when things come together and they gain the skills to interpret their sonars. Not every angler that has contacted me has been able to trailer in to take my class, so I have written a manual for anglers.
It is a Humminbird Helix manual designed for anglers. The manual is 7 Chapters and 60 single-sided 8.5" by 11" pages with black & white and color images. The manual goes through every tab in the Helix Menu and into detail about specific settings and why I recommend those settings.
GPS and mapping, Helix Tabs and settings, Basic Sonar Shapes, a chapter dedicated to sonar interpretation, and understanding the 2-Dimensional image compression of a 3-Dimensional environment. Chapters using real sonar screens with explanations and interpretations to help you learn to better your skills at reading echo returns and included are practice screen shots.
There is a chapter that goes into Side and Down Imaging also. To give you a better understanding and explanation of what the screen can show you and how to read it.
This manual is designed be more user friendly and help anglers get more from their Sonar/Chartplotters and less technical than the supplied manuals that accompanied your units. In order to get the most benefit, I recommend using both together. For topics that you want the more information on, refer to the owner's manual to get technical specifics about a particular setting or feature.
The first 40 sold will be $40 and will include the cost of the manual, sales tax and shipping in the US. The printer is working on these right now and should be done in the next week. I am taking advance orders now you can pay by check or paypal friends/family. Please send me a PM here and I will follow up with you.
Thanks - Craig Do you still have these available? I have 2 Helix 10 G2N Mega units and would be interested in getting one if they are covered in your manual. Thanks - Steve

I updated my HELIX 12 GEN 4 SI to latest update and now I do not have SI or some other pages that I previously had prior to updating unit. Any ideas how to remedy this?

I have a Helix 9 Chirp SI GPS G2N unit. My side imaging does not work. It shows the center line with the boat on the top of the screen but nothing to the right or left side of the screen. I have put the unit back to factory defaults but that didn't change a thing. I don't know if my issue is the transom mounted transducer or the head unit. All of my other options (chirp, DI, mapping) work perfect. I live between Dallas and Tyler on Cedar Creek lake. Is there a Humminbird person that I can contact for help with this issue?

Anyone purchased anything from www.factoryoutletstore.com before? I'm looking to upgrade my graphs, and they show to have it in stock, but wasn't sure about the sites legitimacy. Thank you

Their site is legitimate but they are in no way affiliated with humminbird. Customer service is kinda hit or miss with them

Hey Humminbird gurus, I'm having issues with my Solix 15. First, my SI recently started to only show a small strip of data on the port side and extremely dim. The starboard side is completely normal. Second, the detail on my DI and sonar have diminished from when they were new. I can see the bottom just fine but fish and structure detail is missing. Does this sound like a transducer problem? Humminbird wants $819 to test my graph. My graph is just out of warranty. Anybody have these problems?

Sounds like transducer issue, if you can find someone with another solix would be the best and easiest way to diagnose. You can try restoring defaults but that may be a longshot

I have 2 Humminbird Gen 3’s on my boat and getting ready to purchase the 360 imaging unit. I have heard this unit draws a lot of battery power. The guys that are using the 360 imaging, do you have a dedicated battery just for that unit only, or am I getting wrong information?

I have the same question as Champion Fish does regarding a separate power source for the mega 360. Along with many other questions. I too want to upgrade to the 360. I'm currently running a helix 7 si gps g2n on the bow and a helix 7 chirp gps g3 at the console. Looking at a helix 10 or possibly 12 and a mega 360 transducer. Would like to link to tne 7 g2n. I have a terrova trolling motor with 2d sonar so I would need a universal mount of some sort for the 360 transducer. What would be better, mounting new unit at the bow and possibly moving the 7 g2n to the console (using one strictly for mapping and the other for sonar)? Or mounting new unit at the console and linking with the 7 g2n up front? If I could afford two new units I know that would be the best solution, just can't swing the right now. Is either option I've listed a viable one? Also this is my first post, been a lurker for many years. Thanks y'all!

Weird question but here goes. I have a Hellix 10 Gen 3 SI at the console and Helix 10 Gen 3 DI at the bow. That's the way both are labeled. One at the bow I use the built in DI transducer of the TM. Everything is fine. Now here's the weird part. I can take that DI labeled head unit and put it on the connector at the console using the larger SI transducer. And side imaging works fine. So my question is are these head units really different, or do they just ship one head until with a different transducer. I'm about to finally upgrade my firmware and was wondering if upgrading the front graph to the DI firmware will cause any issues if it's really an SI head unit.
