Native Adventures, Venice. LA We used them in February. Great guys and they put you on fish. Ask for T-Bone to be your guide. https://www.nativeadventuresllc.com/

I've stayed with and fished with both Paradise Plus and J-Bar in Buras. I liked the accommodations better at J-Bar and the home cooked meals in the evenings were a nice touch. Caught a lot of fish with both of them. My boss with a redfish he caught fishing with J-Bar

Stay at Venice Marina in a Houseboat. Eat at the marina restaurant. Lots of fish coming in during October. Venice marina has an extensive list of guides.

I am looking for bull reds as primary and trout as secondary target Bull reds are pretty easy. They also get the same pretty quick. A hard fight. Jetties at SW Pass seem to always have them hanging around. They should be able to hook you up with what you want in Oct. Fishing is usually pretty good then.

I second the vote for Native Adventures. I have fished with most of them down there and Native Adventures is far and away the best for reds and specks.
