Was not much..

Had 1.35 total here at shop by this am..

1.75 at my house near Beacon Lodge/Four Seasons..

No real water in the river.. We'll catch a few inches..

But not much more.. Unless something weird happens today..

There was a ton of rain across large swaths of the Mountains in Northern Mexico. Also upstream from Falcon in Texas. Does none of that drain into the Rio?

The lakes on the Rio Conchas are supposed to feed the Rio Grande just above Ojinaga(across from Presidio, TX), but the farmers come out with pitchforks in protest, when they try to release the water they are obligated to supply, per the 1944 water agreement. Nothing changes. Oh, yeah, it gets worse. IslandJim

There was not that much rain in the Conchos watershed.. And all those lakes are low..

There was a lot of rain around Monterrey, and that is good for El Cuchillo and Sugar lake.. But below us..

We have had 3.1 inches at my house in the last two days.. Similar rains as far north as Eagle Pass..

But our watershed on the Texas side is very skinny, and if rain in a lot of places falls fifteen miles east of the river, it goes east..

We need a foot of rain, not a few inches.. Falcon has come up eight inches in the last three-four days.. Some of that is from releases from Amistad.

I see about another eight inches in the pipeline currently.. Possibly a foot..

Data from TCEQ in the next few days will tell us what water the Conchos lakes caught. And what water is headed to Cuchillo and Sugar. (water that does not come here)

Maybe another one brewing in the Bay of Campeche this weekend..

It looks likely that the next tropical system will develop in the southern Gulf of Mexico over the weekend. The mechanism that created Alberto is still in place.

We are getting plenty of rain on our ranch farther north.

I think Hurricane Harvey could have sit over SW Texas for a week and the reports would say the same thing. "Falcon only came up a foot...."

Now a tropical depression, with the luck that we have in the South, it’ll go to Mexico or Houston. It will be named Beryl when it becomes a hurricane this weekend…. (And yes, I know the people along the coast don’t want a hurricane)
