The couple down south (Leo & Yesenia) makes a mean jig that they catch a TON of fish on & there are many that use worms & crickets. I also use a #4 VMC spinshot with a tungsten weight 4-6" below the hook with 4 lb Stren fluorocarbon line...

Both these guys have posted many of fish caught using the drop shot with Gulp Alive products. IGFA World Record Rio Grande Cichlid. Lake Dunlap. John 3:16 Sinner's Prayer. God forgive me a sinner.
