As a casual weekend warrior, what is the suggested general all around Swiss army knife texas rig setup. Hook size, bead color, weight size and type, swivel vs bobber stop, line ( non braid please) and 2 or 3 worms.

Thanks guys. Just learning and appreciate the good opinions here.

3/0 EWG Gama or Owner
3/8 oz. Tungsten bullet weight
No bead
No swivel
No bobber stop
15-20 pound fluro
7โ€ power worm in watermelon/red, green pumpkin, and black with red or blue flecks

There is obviously way more to it, but if I were scale it back and keep it simple, this is what I would do.

Favorite setup:
3/0 Owner EWG hook.
1/4 oz. Tungsten weight, 3/8 oz. If going deeper than about 10โ€™., pegged if fishing heavy weeds.
65 lb. braid
Watermelon/purple baby brush hog, chartreuse dip on tail.

So em I doing it wrong by using a texas rig as my primary worm presentation? Noticed both suggested a creature bait.

Curious on this swivel? Where would a swivel go on a TX rig?

3/16 straight up lead, 3/0 gamkatsu offset round bend if they are biting it good or straight shank round it they aren't for better hook up ratio. 12-17 trillene 100% fluoro, water clarity dependent. NO BOBBER STOP. May go brass and glass in dirty water. 7" berkley power worm and zoom baby brush hog my top 2 go to plastics.

I know a guy who used a swivel instead of a bopper stop and pre made some in his tackle box like this....

(for some reason wont let me attach img today so here is a link

I was doing this for awhile as made a replacement tie on easy in a pinch but it sounds like even the bead is overkill?

Playing within these extremely narrow parameters

3/16 or 1/4 tungsten weight
3/0 Owner hook
16 pound Sunline Shooter fluorocarbon line
7" blue fleck power worm
green pumpkin magic baby brush hog
green pumpkin magic trick worm

I keep a 10" ole monster rigged up 100% of the time. 5/0 offset hook, 1/2oz tungsten pegged.

Second would be your choice of 7" curly tail worm on a 3/0 straight shank hook 3/8oz weight, also pegged.

Thats my money fish

7" power worm / baby brush hog
4/0 Roboworm Rebarb hook
14 - 16 lb Sunline Sniper Flouro
3/8 oz Tg (black chipless / matte finish)

Have used this for years, it works for me well, so no need to change

Mine is very basic, caught fish on a T rig almost every time I hit the water. Baitcast set up is 14 pound mono 3/16 ounce weight and a 3/0 off set worm hook, plastic of choice is (I believe a 7 inch) Culprit ribbon tail worm in Tequila Sunrise. These worms worked so well for me that I literally bought them by the case.
My other set up is a finesse deal and how I catch most of my fish. Medium light spinning set up with 8 pound mono 3/16 weight or lighter and 2/0 offset worm hook. Plastic of choice is a Bass Pro Shops 4 inch Squirmin' Worm in various colors, about the cheapest lure you can buy. You can fish this in places where most folks would be fishing with 50 pound braid and a heavy jig, just run a loose drag and keep light pressure on the fish and it will eventually swim to open water. I learned this from a gentleman named Guido Hibdon, he won a Bassmaster Classic fishing this technique. His rule he fished by is "you can't get them in the boat if you can't get bit".
I also paint my weights black and that seems to help especially with the dark or black worm.
