Depends on your budget.

My favorite is a 7’ Falcon Lowrider in MH/ModFast.

Miss fewer strikes with the softer tip compared to a Fast Action.

Regardless of brand, I agree that the MH/ModFast is the best action rod for chatterbaits and spinnerbaits.

Dobyns 735CB Glass ($250) with ALX Zolo Rumble ($259) a close second.

I went with the Falcon Cara Swim Jig rod... Very versatile... Dan

Evergreen Combat Stick. 7'3'' Heavy Glass Rod. Built specifically for throwing the Jack Hammer.

Big Fan of the Abu Garcia Winch Series 7'5" MH. I throw mine on 17lb fluro. The tip has plenty of give for when they bite, and the rod has plenty of backbone to lean into them.

Diawa DX type H Reaction 7'3" heavy. Exact same blank as the Evergreen Combat Stick but only $99. TackleWarehouse will put them on sale for $79 a couple times a year. I own 6 incase they ever stop making them. Absolutely the perfect rod. Works great in hydrilla, skips under docks and pinpoint roll casts around trees.

I also prefer a glass rod for better action. Same with spinner baits.
