My old business partner went down there on a trip with Bill Wilcox. His son ended up being in boat with Bill for a show. Maybe reach out to him. They had a blast

I have countless friends who have been down there and I went myself this past November and am booked again to go back in November for 2025 with TC Fishing who books through Brandon at Midcurrent Travel. https://travel.midcurrent.com/lodge/t-c-fishing/#galleryThere are a ton of ways to do the trip. Some have nicer accommodations with a large home base ship and some are more rustic. The large ship does NOT have access to what I think are the best waters. Our preference was for fishing with good accommodations and food with a focus on the fishing. This place was NUTS! A/C's worked bad arse. We all had our own room (house boat with a bed, bathroom and small desk). One main dining boat and the whole group is only 6 people. you fish 2 guys to a boat with your guide each day and you determine how long you fish. Our food was great, the guides were awesome and the fishing was something I will never forget. Our group of 4 had 7 fish over 20#. I personally had a 20, 22 and 25# fish. We had countless fish over 15# and I even caught an 11# Butterfly Peacock which I would relate to catching a 14# LMB. most Butterfly are in the 3-4# range but not at this place. We had 4 Butterfly over 9# including my 10 and 11#. Average was about 60 fish per day per boat. There's several options down there but I can't recommend the one I went with enough. I will tell you the travel can be a bear because unless you fly private directly to Manaus you have to fly all the way down to Sao Paolo then 4 hours back to Manaus to overnight there before your trip to the jungle the next day. We flew home private after a rough travel down there and are flying private for the entire trip next time.

First thing to ask any outfitter is “what will be the water level”
You want to go when the river is low, when it is high the fish are a mile into the jungle.
I would recommend Captain Peacock.

I would recommend Captain Peacock. You'll also want assurances that they'll reschedule if conditions are bad. It absolutely SUCKS to have a trip postponed at the last minute, but it's a sign of a good outfitter that they don't take your money and plunk you down in subpar circumstances.

They got messed up during the pandemic.

I just checked American flights from Miami to manaus and it appears there is no direct flight to manaus...hopefully I'm wrong but looks like shortest flight goes thru Brazilia and takes 12 hours....

It appears you may be correct. I spoke/wrote too soon. One other possibly way to do it is on Copa through Panama City Tocumen Airport. They have a great deal where you can layover in Panama City for an extended period at no extra charge (if you have the time). Really fun place and we've enjoyed flying Copa to Central America.

We were told Azul had a direct flight from Fort Lauderdale to Manaus but it may be seasonal. Everything I see goes to SP back to Manaus which is 7+ hours out of the way in total.

I have gone the last couple of years It has been a blast. The company I have gone with got a new boat and new bass boats this year. The guides all speak english and know how to find fish... Now you getting them in the boat is a different subject. The name of the company is Peacock River Masters https://peacockrivermasters.com Great group of people I am going in the end of September. I have gotten ALOT of big fish. If you want pictures or info just send me a message and we can talk.
The gene pool could use a little chlorine.

We had a nightmare trip last year to Argentina and all of the issues were with the middle man.
