Many people on here know something depending on what you have.

What is going on? what make/model?

-depth will not pickup, but will show on bottom and if I mark waypoint
-scrolls good then stops, then starts, then pauses again...very frustrating
-scrolling speed is sometimes is super slow

My dad spends more time playing with it than fishing and I am just ready to pay and fix it right lol.

Restore to factory default settings. Then see what it does.

Need to select the proper transducer in the installation menu and turn the “ping” rate down to 18. Scroll speed to max. If it’s still losing bottom after selecting the right transducer, then your transducer (if mounted in the hull) has either come loose from the epoxy or the transducer is going bad.

If the transducer is mounted on the transom, make sure its level with the hull/pad.

Is it up to date on software?
I have a Gen 3 for mapping and I just found an update for it last week. Made it run a little faster and smoother.

Chuck it in the trash and get a Garmin! I’ve had Lowrance and Humminbird. Had trouble with both. Garmin is THE best!

What type of transducer mount do you have? Thru-hull or transom mount?

Do you have it networked to another unit? I have ran into issues with lowrances acting funky when they aren't networked/configured properly. If you have it connected via NMEA or ethernet to another unit, try running it without either of those wires connected, this will at least eliminate it as an issue if it starts reading properly.

Also, personally I would throw the gen2 touch in the trash and get almost any other unit, they are so slow and have touch sensitivity issues constantly!
