Forum seems the same to me, only the names change and the world events. Used to be a lot less traffic on the lakes and guys didn’t mind sharing info, then the “glory pics” on social media started and everyone would flock to the hot lake. Can’t blame anyone for not wanting to fight more people on the lake.

The biggest group of a-holes ever on here, were the “team sweet” guys. Talk about arrogant pinheads.

Yall wanna hear something funny?

The biologist on BDA is also the biologist for Ray Roberts. He’s been out on BDA running around doing some surveys on fishermen. I won’t tell you what he said about catch rates so that I don’t get accused of lying to run people off. He did say BDA now has an extremely low fish per acre count after filling up, but says Ray Roberts is in great shape and has plenty of fish per acre, we’re just not good enough to catch them. nuts the scary part is this jackwad makes decisions on how the lakes are managed… and he was quite cocky about how awesome he is. Our lakes are doomed.

We just caught this Thursday night on Bois D'arc, the water is really high and most of the docks at the ramp are under water...

I talked to a guy who claimed to be the biologist for Roberts at the bassmaster expo a few years back. I told him they needed to stock Roberts and Lewisville. He disagreed and used the day 1 results to confirm I was wrong. Then he mentioned the 30 lb bags being weighed in Lewisville tournaments.....
Many of us have spent more time on the water than that guy. Number of fish per acre on those lakes is way lower than east Texas lakes. Now we have FFS and it is even more obvious as you can see what's not there

Went to BDA yesterday. Fished from 7 to 1, I only caught 4 or 5 fish none larger than 2 lbs. Partner caught quite a few including 2 around 5.
We had one tree we caught 8 or 9 fish off.
The wind was bad and those waves were monsters. Similar to Texoma size rollers.
The lake is beautiful and the ramp was very nice. Went to South ramp.
Ramp was half full at 8am and 3/4 or more full, at 1pm
I have had better fishing at Fork and Palestine this year. And fishing the bottom in the trees can be a snaggy presentation with all the undercarriage that was flooded.
I enjoyed the lake and will make more trips, but I was expecting, or at least hoping for more like Squaw numbers and that did not happen.
There was a ton of fresh flooded areas, so many shallow water bushes to flip, but finding fish shallow was a chore.

If lewisville had big tournaments you would see giant bags on the reg. That lake is 6x better than Roberts as far as numbers and quality goes. I caught a bunch of 8+ pounders out there last June and July. No double digits but quality bass... an 8 pounder on Roberts now a days seems a rarity.
